Take a blow dryer to them. They should peel right off. That's what a body shop will do.

Yes, the side stripes came off in one piece, the ones at the top were getting old and cracked, so i want to get rid of them. But its too much work. I need something like this, but its expensive

I did, it still comes in little pieces. And the stripes from the bumper is even more difficult to take off.

You can buy JUST the wheel and use a drill if you don't have an air tool like that....

Juts don't use those eraser wheels on the bumpers. They will take the paint off of rubber/plastic very easily.

I know two others have said this, but heat is your friend. Not sure where you are located, but park it in the sun if possible. Then go out in the afternoon and start peeling. Good luck!

Or maybe some 3m adhesive remover stuff. Seems like there is one that is made for painted surfaces. Maybe put some of that one, let it soak into the edge a little, then start peeling.

Or just light the whole car on fire.

I'd be careful with drills. The RPM on those things is high.

Can't remember what they use for the spray, but IIRC it might be Windex. But spray with Windex and lay a plastic bag over and let sit for a while. It is a trick I read that guys use to get window tint film off. Google is your friend and will probably fill in the details.

Not higher than an air grinder.... half speed on your regular home drill will be fine.

Hell, I've gone full speed out of anger and nothing bad happened.

Why not just wrap the stripes in vinyl in a different color. Fresh stripes in any color you'd like.

But a clean single color car looks good too

FOUND IT! Here is the how to on removing window tint. Might work pretty well for stickers on paint too. As a disclaimer I have no idea if the adhesives are similar and I have no idea if ammonia on paint is a good idea. You may want to look into that before trying this.

haha i thought of the last idea! Unfortunately it has been a week of no sun, so i cant have the sun as an ally. Still, using the hairdryer didn't work, and it was even more difficult in the bumpers. Im leaving this work to auto detailers.

The thing is the previous owner had the stripes installed somewhere where they put them slightly crooked, I wouldn't like putting new stripes over the old ones in the same crooked way. And as you say single colored cars look good and it would feel like a brand new car. Sort of.

If you get a heat gun (different than a hair dryer) you may have better luck.

Either way, good luck with whichever way you go.

I have decided im going to go with the detailers, still i was going to have the car paint polished by them anyways.
